PRESS RELEASE: August 16, 2010

Dexteyra presented a workshop on effective Management and Consulting skills at MITACS Step held at University of Toronto on August 16, 2010. Ms. Charanpreet Kaur, a Sr. Consultant with Dexteyra's SAP practice presented at the seminar and interacted with post doctoral and PhD students and highlighted the need to work effectively within a team, to manage multiple timelines and projects, and stressed on 'soft skills' in active consulting roles. Ms. Charan presented a case study from an SAP project and elaborated on the importance of traditional approaches to education and technical training. Per the MITACS website, lack of emphasis on these skills has led to a 'soft skills' deficit in the Canadian workforce. Ms. Charanpreet emphasized on how effective communication can help during strategy and technology consulting assignments.
